New partnership with WISE

In phase three of the Uniterra programme in Vietnam, supporting youth and young women is one of our strongest priorities. With this in mind, WUSC recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Women’s Initiative for Start-ups and Entreprenership (WISE), making this our latest local partner in Vietnam.

Established 7 March 2017 by Mekong Business Initiative (MBI), a development partnership between the Asian Development Bank and the Australian government, WISE is aimed at connecting women-led startups with investors and consultants.

WISE will officially receive Uniterra volunteers to work directly with them in April 2018. As an initial activity with WISE, our Uniterra volunteer Genevieve Hill, Communications Advisor delivered a full-day workshop and networking activity about Effective Communications for Enterprises for WISE’s partners.

With this new partnership, we look forward to providing better support for start-ups led by women, together with capacity building and more employment opportunities for youth and young women.
